East Canal Brazeau Reservoir campground only contains 8 campsites located on a
small point next to the east canal. Each site has a picnic table and fire pit. A
few of the sites are located on open grass near the reservoir and close enough
to keep a boat next to. This campground offers dry toilets, refuse containers,
fire wood, good boat launch and fish cleaning station. There is no drinking water here. Brazeau Reservoir is
excellent for power boating, canoeing, kayaking and fishing. Be careful with a
power boat, several shallow spots and floating debris can be a real hazard here.
The reservoir is man made for hydroelectricity and is approximately 13kms long
with the dam on it's northeast end. Bird watching can be very good as the
reservoir attracts several different bird species. Fisherman may catch Trout,
Char, Grayling and Whitefish. You'll need a
to try your luck. Night skies here rank #2 on the
Bortle Scale. See the official web site
