Description: Buck Lake campground contains 27 campsites nicely suited for both RV's and tents. Amenities include water, fire pits, dry toilets, picnic tables, refuse containers, boat launch and fish cleaning station. Most of the campsites are located on open grass with a few choice sites next to the irrigation canal that flows out of the lake, close enough to keep a boat tied up. Buck Lake is excellent for power boating, water skiing, canoeing, kayaking, wind surfing and both summer and winter ice fishing. The lake is approximately 9.3kms long with a maximum width of 6.3kms, maximum depth is 12.2ms. Buck Lake holds walleye, northern pike, yellow perch and lake whitefish. You'll need a fishing license to try your luck. The grounds along the canal flowing out of Buck Lake are well maintained along with several posts to tie up a boat. Bird watching here can be very good, the lake and canal attract several different bird species. Night skies here rank #4-5 on the Bortle Scale. See the official web site link below for fees, opening and closing dates.

Near Here: Local campgrounds include Calhoun Bay, Medicine Lake, Pigeon Lake and Zeiner. You are in bear country. Food and food related items must be stored properly.
