Buck Lake Provincial Park Recreation Area.

Buck Lake Campground is located at the north end of Buck Lake 130km southwest of Edmonton. There are 27 campsites with picnic tables and fire pits. Most of the sites are located next to a large open grassy area with very little privacy. Some of the sites are located on or near the Lake and close enough to keep your boat next to. This campground has water, toilets, refuse containers, fire wood, good boat launch and a small beach. Buck Lake is excellent for power boating, water skiing, canoeing, kayaking, wind surfing and both summer and winter ice fishing. The lake is approximately 9.3km long with a maximum width of 6.3km. Maximum depth is 12.2m . Buck Lake holds Walleye, northern Pike, Yellow Perch and Lake Whitefish. You'll need a fishing license to try out your luck. Night skies here rank # 4 on the Bortle Scale. Access to the campground is 6km over a gravel road and is not well marked. Calhoun Bay Campground is also located on Buck Lake approximately 18km form here.
