Campground Jasper National
Park.
The
Snaring River
Campground is located in
Jasper
National Park
13K
north of the
Jasper
townsite. This campground
has 66 campsites all with box framed
gravel tent pads. There is room for
an RV and tent in most of the sites. The
campground offers potable water that
is hauled in,
dry
toilets, communal camp kitchens,
fire pits and picnic tables. Fire wood is available for
use in the camp kitchens and camp
sites.
This is
bear country,
food and food related items must be
stored properly. Snaring
River campground makes
a good base camp if you want to
spend a few days exploring
Jasper
and the local area.
Patricia Lake, Pyramid Lake, Lac
Beauvert, Maligne Lake,
Maligne
Canyon, Medicine Lake,
Mount Edith
Cavell, Lake Edith, Lake Annette,
Hanging Valley, Jasper Park Lodge
and
Miette Hot Springs are all close
to here. The Jasper town
site is very small, you can easily
walk through the entire town in a
morning or afternoon outing. More on

Snaring River campground and the local area
is well suited for Mountain Biking.
The terrain is relatively flat with
long trails. You can access the
27K
Celestine Lake trail from here. There are
are several campsites located along
the banks of the Snaring River that
offer beautiful views of the Valley.
The surrounding relatively rare
Montane Grasslands in this
large valley support Elk, Mule Deer,
Black Bears and Coyotes.

Campground is located
just east of here.

Bald Hills
Hike,
Mount Edith
Cavell Hike,
Whistlers
Mountain Hike,
Maligne Canyon

located in the Jasper area.
