Location/Description
Location: #33 highway. 31kms south of Swan Hills Alberta.
Description: Trapper Lea’s campground contains 18 campsites suited for both RV’s and tents. Amenities include picnic tables, water and dry toilets. Firewood may be available for sale. The campsites are fairly open with a central camp kitchen.
Trapper Lea’s Cabin campground is a historical site. George Lea was proclaimed the “Wolf King” for having trapped a record amount of wolfs. George W. Lea’s cabin was restored between 1977 and 1981 by the Swan Hills chamber of commerce. The campground offers off site ATV and snowmobiling.
Night skies here are ink black and rank #4 on the Bortle Scale. This is bear country, food and food related items must be stored properly.
