Location/Description
Location: South shore of Garner Lake 175kms north of Edmonton, 60kms east of Bonnyville Alberta.
Description: Garner Lake campground is one of the nicest lake campgrounds found in Alberta. The campground contains 61 campsites suitable for both RV’s and tents with a few choice sites located near the lake.
The sites are well treed and nicely spaced providing good privacy. Amenities include sandy beach, water, showers, fire wood available for sale, picnic tables, electrical hookups, swimming areas, hiking trails, bicycle trails, boat launch, fish cleaning station and playgrounds. Garner Lake offers good Northern Pike, Perch and Walleye fishing. You’ll need a fishing license to try your luck.
This campground is good for adults and young children Kids will spend hours on the beach and nearby playground. Garner Lake is crystal clear and excellent for swimming, canoeing or kayaking. You’ll find the beach sand and clear water very enticing. Boaters have access to a well designed easy to use boat launch and plenty of parking space. There is also a nice hike or bike trail with interpretive signs explaining the local wildlife and vegetation. Elk, Deer and Moose frequent the area and it is excellent for bird watching, berry picking and mushroom picking
