Location/Description
Location: Next to Prairie Creek 35kms south of Rocky Mountain House Alberta.
Description: Strachan campground contains 27 well treed campsites with a few choice sites located next to Prairie Creek. Amenities include water, fire pits, dry toilets, picnic tables, refuse containers and community kitchen. No firewood available.
Strachan campground is located in a protected natural area which makes it a nice nature getaway. There are also a few off road trails nearby for both off road vehicles and mountain bikes. Prairie Creek offers good fly fishing for Brown Trout, Bull Trout and Whitefish. You’ll need a fishing license to try your luck.
