Location/Description
Location: North side of the #1 Trans Canada Highway at dead mans flats 16kms east of Canmore. 71kms west of Calgary. Bow Valley Provincial Park Kananaskis country Alberta.
Description: Dead Mans Flats is a service corridor located next to the Trans Canada Highway. Three Sisters Campground is located behind the gas station and contains 36 well treed Campsites for both RV’s and tents. Several sites include wood framed gravel tent pads. The campground sides onto the bank of the Bow River located in the Bow Flats Natural Area.
It fills fast on weekends due to it’s close proximity to Canmore and the City of Calgary. Amenities include, small water craft boar launch, playground, water, dry toilets, camp kitchen, picnic tables, food lockers and fire pits. Fire wood is available when purchasing a fire permit. Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout and Whitefish can be caught in the Bow River. You’ll need a fishing license to try your luck. The campground is located close to the Trans Canada Highway and can be noisy.
